Bed and breakfast

Wallbridge Mill currently has one double room in the South Mill. The rate is £40 per night for double occupancy and £25 for single, including locally-produced breakfast (as far as we can manage).

CycleCity Guides is a deliberately car-free business so our room is intended for cyclists and walkers only. Although we have an acre of riverside for our visitors to enjoy, we are keen to preserve the idyllic tranquillity of our surroundings. Therefore we do not cater for guests who bring cars.

We will, however, gladly lock up your bike inside and welcome your dog (or cat) if you bring him/her. Please note (if you are allergic to/antipathetic towards animals) that there are two resident dogs and two cats. Because of the nature of the site - surrounded by water, and much of it without barriers - we do not accommodate young children.

As well as its own mill stones (static!), the room has:

• its own generous bathroom, with bath and proper shower
• real coffee and teas and real milk
• a view of the river on three sides (er, including from the loo)
• the ambient noise of water tumbling over the weirs

We also offer:

• secure (inside) parking for your bike
• toiletries if you're not carrying them
• bracing river swimming (at your own risk)
• facilities to dry wet clothes
